CFAWL Virtual Luncheon Featuring Justice Wells of the Florida Supreme Court

Continuing our focus on civic participation and voting this year, CFAWL is proud to welcome Justice Charles T. Wells as the featured speaker for our next monthly luncheon, held virtually by zoom.

Justice Wells served on the Florida Supreme Court for more than 14 years, including 2 years as Chief Justice.  During that time, he presided over Bush v. Gore, the election law case following the 2000 presidential election.  Justice Wells retired from the Court in 2009, but he has remained active in the legal community.  Since the 2000 election, he has lectured throughout the United States on Florida’s administration of election cases.  We’re looking forward to hearing his stories, as he explains what state courts must do to prepare for this year’s presidential election.  You won’t want to miss this discussion!
