Alena Baker is a solo criminal defense attorney based in Orlando, Florida. A Miami native, Alena graduated from the University of Florida with a double major in Criminology and Sociology and a minor in French. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008.
After law school, Alena returned to Florida and began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. In 2013, she opened her own practice, where she now focuses almost exclusively on criminal defense.
Alena is an active member of the legal community. In addition to her involvement with the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL), she is a Past President of the Orange County Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee.
Outside the courtroom, Alena is passionate about community involvement. She has volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, serving as PTA President for the 2023–2024 school year at their elementary school and as incoming PTSA President for the 2025–2026 school year at Glenridge Middle School. She also enjoys playing competitive tennis as part of a C+ league team.
