Ayana K. Barrow is In-house Staff Counsel for Acceptance Insurance Company where she practices in the area of Civil Litigation. Prior to working with Acceptance Insurance, she was In-house Staff Counsel for Geico General Insurance Company. She attended The University of Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Youth and Community Sciences and a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School in 2014.
After graduating from Capital University Law School, Ayana returned to Florida where she practiced as an Assistant State Attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office. During her tenure at the State Attorney’s Office, she tried twenty-six (26) jury trials and twenty-two (22) bench trials.
Committed to the Central Florida community, Ayana currently serves on the Executive Board of the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association as the President-Elect and previously served as the Treasurer and the Special and Social Events Chair. She previously served on the Orange County Bar Associations Diversity and Inclusion Committee as a Co-chair, where they launched the OCBA’s first ever Diversity and Inclusion Certification Program.
In 2021, Ayana was elected to the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, and she currently serves her community in this capacity today as a Board of Trustee and the Treasurer. She also serves on the Orange County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section as a committee chair for the scholarship committee and previously the Charity Golf Tournament Committee Co-chair. In 2022, she was elected to The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governor and currently serves as the 18th Circuit Governor. She is a proud member of the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers (CFAWL) where she currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Public Relations Director. She was recently appointed to the Florida Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and hosting friends and family for gatherings.
